Who We Are

Sadhana Charitable Foundation (SCF) is a community-driven non-profit organization committed to advancing dignity, equity, and opportunity for marginalized tribal and indigenous communities in Mizoram.

We work primarily in remote and underserved border regions, where difficult terrain, limited infrastructure, and economic constraints often restrict access to education, livelihoods, and justice.

SCF was founded on the belief that sustainable change must be locally rooted, culturally sensitive, and community-owned.

Our Vision

A just, equitable, and empowered society where marginalized communities thrive with dignity, opportunity, and self-reliance.

To work alongside tribal and indigenous communities in Mizoram to:

✔️ Expand access to education and skills
✔️ Strengthen sustainable livelihoods
✔️ Promote legal awareness and access to justice
✔️ Support community well-being and resilience
✔️ Preserve cultural identity and traditional knowledge

Our Mission

Our Story

Many of us at Team SCF were born and spent our early years in some of Mizoram’s most remote border villages. By chance and circumstance, we later found our way to towns and cities in search of education and livelihoods — opportunities that were simply not available back home. Having lived these realities, we carry a deep understanding of the challenges faced by tribal communities in the remote border regions of Northeast India. Scattered across sparsely populated hamlets and rugged, mountainous terrain, these areas often struggle with limited access to quality education, healthcare, basic infrastructure .

From these lived experiences emerged a shared sense of responsibility. That became our calling and Sadhana Charitable Foundation (SCF) was born.

This is not just our story. It is a story of hope, dignity, and possibility — unfolding slowly, one village at a time, one dream after another. With your continued support and guidance, we hope to carry this story forward — and make it whole.

We hope you will walk alongside us on this journey.

Where We Work

SCF supports the remote, rural, and border communities of Mizoram that are confronting challenges related to education, livelihood, and connectivity. The focus areas specifically include the Western belt of Mizoram, which encompasses the districts of Mamit, Lunglei, and Lawngtlai—some of the most disadvantaged areas in the state where communities frequently encounter:

• Limited opportunities for quality education
• Vulnerability in livelihoods
• Gaps in legal and rights awareness
• Challenges in infrastructure and connectivity
